[TIDK] 85 – Son Of A Bitch

Isaac folded his sleeves up and walked to Abel.

His uncle had been bleeding profusely from his hand. He had pressed the severed one with his other hand to try and control the bleeding. 

Abel raised his hand again.

It was an illusion that he would be unable to move because he had been blind for a long time.

Isaac groaned as if he had not heard the wind from his uncle swinging his fist.

Isaac dodged the punch and then hit Abel in the face. Once again, a scream shook the mansion. Isaac protected his face and began pummelling Abel.

His original plan for today was to make Abel unable to make watches.

If Abel couldn’t make a watch, it would be challenging to kick Scarlett out of the family with her watch skills. So he should have stopped after cutting his finger.

However, as anger began to erupt midway, he couldn’t stop.

Ever since he was thirteen, he’d heard his sister get hit, time and time again. He would cover his ears in the attic, pretending he couldn’t hear anything, as if nothing had happened.

She would come to him with a straight face and smile, making his heart ache.

Abel, who thought he would die, clasped his hands together and began begging.

“That’s enough, Isaac! I’m going to die! Hey! Somebody out there, break the door and come in!”

Isaac didn’t seem to have had enough, but he stopped punching. Then he took off the ring Abel was wearing from his finger.

Isaac wore the ring on his finger, a symbol of the Crimson family.

It was a jewel of their household and a garnet. The ring, which had stretched to the girth of Abel’s finger, spun loosely on Isaac’s thin finger.

Either way, he raised his hand to the window and looked at the ring on his finger. Isaac himself was the only one who knew how much of the ring was visible, which frightened Abel even more.

“You son of a bitch… to take away a ring from this family to a girl who has done nothing for you? The store? Do you think it’s going to work? The girl has no skill!”

“There have been many cases of faulty Crimson watches in the ten years you took over the house, uncle. Whether Scarlett is wrong, we’ll know that soon enough.”

Only then did the servants break in the door.

Abel’s wife Anne Crimson and their daughter Marilyn Crimson screamed at the scene. Anne Crimson fainted at her bloody husband and the hideous threadworms that covered Isaac’s eyes.

Abel Crimson shouted in a foul voice. “Hey, hold him down right now!”

“I’m the head of this family.”

The servants faltered as Isaac spoke.

They thought for a moment about whom to follow but, for now, decided to follow Abel Crimson this time as they had done so far.

They walked to Isaac and grabbed his arm. Isaac looked closely at the faces of the servants who held him. Whenever his eyes became closer to their view, the servants groaned and turned their heads. It was a terrible scene.

No matter how powerful Isaac was, he could not escape when several servants rushed in. They bound Isaac, and the police arrived soon after.

Abel was immediately taken to the hospital and underwent surgery to sew his severed fingers. In addition, Isaac had broken his ribs and knocked off several teeth.

In the meantime, Isaac at the police station, the police questioned Isaac; strangely enough, the police officer was ordinary, and soon he was transferred to Royal Police.

He knew he would have to come to the police station, but he didn’t think the royal police would get involved. The royal police played a role close to the military police, so they were not involved in such private or civil matters. After entering the main office, Isaac couldn’t help but think something was wrong.

Unlike when he was at the regular police station, the meals after the transfer were spectacular. The lunch at the regular police station was a sandwich with baked apples, but the meal at the royal police station was a dinner with soup and cold and hot dishes. Looking at this meal, he could see that the people who came here under investigation were not ordinary.
