“Between us, I want us to be able to talk about anything. I want to know your thoughts and I want you to know my thoughts. I want to make a child as soon as possible. Because I want to be a family with you. I want to have various experiences in the future. Your selfishness is in the way. Do you understand? Your selfishness makes you invisible to me. And when you’re invisible, I don’t want to look ahead. I think it’s better to die without treatment. If you promise me, I will live for you. That’s why, you live for me too.”
“But…” Alana started, but she understood what he meant.
“Alana, you can’t erase what has happened. But listen to me. Before I met you, I was like a man walking through the night, unable to see anything. My father used to say to me,” Luciano breathed in and mimicked his father’s voice.
It was in the language of Serrat.
“The sun may set, but it will never disappear. It will continue to be like these stars. No matter how deep the dark night is, the sun will surely rise again. And it will shine warmly on you.”
“... When I met you, I knew the meaning of the sun. I finally discovered it. I can’t see the sun without you. Don’t take it away from me, will you? And I would like to talk about you and Mileia once in a while. You are Mileia’s special one. That kid, she loved you.”
Possibly because he spoke the name of Mileia, suddenly Alana’s shoulders began to.

Luciano held down the pain in his back and sat there with Alana in his arms.
“Why are you sorry? That’s not it right? I’m glad that someone cries for my sister. I’m grateful to you. My sister has a lifelong friend. Your father and brother I will keep cursing forever, but you’re different from them. You’re my wife. Isn’t that right?”
Luciano stroked Alana’s head, still crying, and licked the tears from her cheeks.
“Hmm, it’s salty. Listen to me, Alana. Let me tell you a story of a man. He was a man who lived only for his country. He had no interest in anything but his country and his family. But he lost his country. He lost his family, and he was left alone in the world. In despair, he thought of destroying the world. But then he met a girl, who was also alone. She had been abused. The man had never cared about anyone else, but he wished he could have saved her. The man who held her wished he had a child. He wanted to have her child. Later, he found out that the girl was a friend of the man’s dead sister. The man would be able to listen to his sister’s story, which he had been keeping to himself. He would be able to speak in his own language for a change. The man who had wanted to obliterate the world no longer wished to do so. He thought that this girl would be enough. The man who could only see the past looked to the future. He began to want to see what was in the future for him. The reason why he was able to do this was because he had the girl by his side.”
──The man no longer wished to erase the stars in the night sky. The man would once again be able to look up at the sky he once loved. I can look at the stars with you.
He smiled faintly and brushed his own forehead against Alana’s.
“Alana, will you stay with the man? The man is weak. He needs you.”
He saw her eyelashes flutter in confusion.
“Will you live for the man without wanting to die? Will you live for me? Will you stay by my side?” Luciano murmured.
“... If it’s me, will that be allowed? I destroyed your country...”
“I’m saying that because you’re enough for me, I want you. Tell me. Alana, I’m enough.”
“…Yes. I’ll stay by your side. I do not wish for death anymore.”
“If so, would you give a testimony to the man? Can you swear an eternal oath with him?”
Luciano raised his face to her, and wiped Alana’s tears with the back of his hand.
“What is an eternal oath?” Alana asked.
“It’s your kiss. I want you to kiss me on the mouth. We made a blood oath before, but I want you to make a new one. Will you do it?”
Her lips were drawn together, and she nodded her head. Her face was crumpled with tears. Alana placed her small hand on Luciano’s cheek, but her mouth puckered up as if she were having trouble saying it.
“…My heart is throbbing.”
He wondered what she would say suddenly, but she kept her promise with Luciano and quit her selfishness. This was the voice of her heart.
Luciano lost his composure.
“Yes, mine is throbbing. I’m the same. It’s the same.”
“My body and face are hot. It’s kind of embarrassing. And I think you’re looking ...”
He wished to stare at Alana all the time, but he hid his eyes beneath his silver eyelashes.
“I’m not looking at you. You’re not embarrassed by this, are you? How is it?”
A small sigh left her lips. He could feel her breath on his lips.
A soft heat flickered between them.
Again, they parted, then stuck together, and she must have puckered her mouth this time.
With a small ‘puchu’, from the front on, Alana didn’t stop.
It was a clumsy, adorable kiss.
“Are we making our vows?”
“Yes, we’re making many vows.”
“Well, you can make an oath to me every day.”
Luciano’s eyelashes moistened. Alana must have noticed. A soft thing pressed against his eyes.
She sucked gently, lifted his eyelids, and immediately saw the green eyes.

Hello, my name is Niko. In the prelude of creating this story, I thought to challenge myself to write about a villain’s love. Always, before I start to write, I ask my editors to check which themes are a no go. Until now, the ones that were strongly prohibited were related to fa*ces. When I persisted, “It’s absolutely prohibited!” Was the response. Henceforth, people think that I like fa*ces. This is simply not true. Oops, I haven’t mentioned anything about the most important point – the story. At this rate, I will be considered a f*cking bastard (/p*ece of sh*t). Or so they say, what? I feel like I don’t have enough space anymore… (sweat). In the story, there appears a poisoner who wears a dark robe. Thanks to him, we have a connection with Mr Suzunosuke again. I am delighted. Translator’s Afterword
I have always loved reading mature romances, and Sonya books always hit deeply in that area. After reading The Villain’s Love, I was shocked by how uncensored the plot was, and how it really brought out the rottenness of the human psyche, as expected from our very crude author hahaha… Above all, I was touched that fierce loyalty, love and sacrifice became the beacon of hope in Luci and Alana’s devastated lives. I knew I had to translate it, and it has been two years since (as of writing, I have just finished the translation in early 2022). My humblest gratitude to my dear readers who have followed the translation of The Villain’s Love, and to my supporters who helped me push through when I felt like quitting. You guys are the one who made this translation possible.
