[TVL] 94 – True Perpetrator

“Brother, keep this a secret, okay? I have someone I love.”

–– Mileia.

“Well, there’s an amazing person amongst Armenia’s messengers, fluent in the language of Serrat.”

––I’m sure this is...no, definitely the other party is Lupe, Alana. I know because we are brother and sister.

“I knew from the beginning that I couldn’t get married. But this is a lifelong love.”

──Idiot. Isn’t the other person a woman? A woman with a woman? It is natural that you cannot get married.

“I knew I would never be tied, so I kissed him. I wanted you to be entrapped forever.”

── You are so pushy...I also made an eternal to the same person.

“Brother, he’s a very, very nice person.”

–– Yes, I know him.

“I’d like to introduce him to you, Brother. Is that all right? Will you come with me?”

What would have happened if he had been introduced to that person at that time?

–– I long for you, Alana.

Light fell from the lamp post. The silver eyelashes swayed as the thin strands of light gradually thickened. And then the violet eyes appear.

Luciano, who sensed the light in his eyes, tried to sit up in a rush, but his face twisted in pain. The ceiling was unfamiliar to him, but he realised that this was the room he had been given in the castle.

“Sir Emilio, are you awake at last? You’re a bit of an over sleeper. I’m tired of waiting.”

The dark-haired Callisto appeared to have slipped out of the shadows. His blue eyes narrowed.

“First of all, you should shave. I don’t know anyone who looks as terrible as you do,” he said.

“Shut up, you don’t look good either.”

“Not as bad as you, Sir Emilio. You have been asleep for four days, and I thought you would never wake up. Physically–, ah, it doesn’t seem to be an issue.”

Callisto being by Luciano’s side must mean that Alana was safe. Rather, Luciano was relieved that Callisto was by his side. Her aide was here, because nothing was wrong with her.

“How is Alana doing?”

“Thanks to you, Alana has recovered from the poison and is fine. She is very anxious about you. I’ve never seen her this restless. I was ordered to go and check on you, and here I am, reluctantly. Don’t you think it’s too cruel to be made to stay by your side until you wake up? Please shave that repulsive beard and go see her soon,” Callisto grunted.

When Luciano tried to get up, Callisto assisted him, much to his displeasure.

Luciano scrunched his nose, “You kept me away from Alana’s room.”

“Yes, I was thinking of taking her from you. I didn’t mean to give her to you.”

“Ha, you can’t take from me. You know nothing, as much as I do.”

“I’m not thinking of taking no more, at least for the time being. I love my job.”

Luciano, who moved to the edge of the bed, stood up. Then Callisto whispered.

“When I’m alone with you, should I call you Luciano?”

“That name, never again will you need to call me by it. I’m no longer the King of Serrat.”

“You’re going to live as the prince consort of Armenia from now on? That’s a good decision. Alana is the queen of Armenia for as long as she lives, so she can’t be the queen of another country.”

As Luciano reached for the apple and bit into it, Callisto lifted the edge of his mouth.

“For the time being, could you make a child as soon as possible? If possible, the first child to be a cute girl who looks a lot like Alana and has no inkling of resemblance to you.”

“F*ck off. You’re disgusting. I know your schemes.”

“I’m nineteen, so even if it’s fifteen years later, I’ll still be thirty-four. It’s well matched.”

“You’ve got a wife! Don’t go after my unborn daughter!”

Standing in front of the mirror, Luciano abandoned the apple and moved the contents of the jug to a basin. It was steaming, so it had probably just been brought in. He washed my face. “I’m sorry I’m late in reporting this, but can I ask you a question?”

Luciano placed a blade on his cheek.* “I don’t mind,” he said.

*he’s shaving

Callisto recounted. “After being commanded by you, I soon found out who had poisoned Alana’s jug. It was my wife Priscilla. But rest assured , she was executed the same day. All of Alana’s servants have also been replaced. I’m sure I’ve identified them all, because they’re all my relatives.”

Looking at Callisto through the mirror, he had a cool face. Even though his wife was executed, he didn’t seem to have any emotions attached. “My marriage was annulled, and I feel relieved.”
