[TVL] 55 – Breaking His Vow

“... Which country’s language is that?”

When he looked beside him, green eyes stared back at him. Clear eyes.

“Do you care? This is the language of a distant country. It’s the language of my father and mother’s country.”

“It’s a beautiful language. I would like to hear a little more.”

“What do you do when you hear it? You don’t even understand the meaning, do you.” ──Well, whatever.

Luciano took a short breath. However, the edge of my mouth naturally rose.

You’re being reckless. Suddenly telling me you want to hear me speak, I don’t know what to say. I’m not very good with words. I’m a clumsy, useless man who can’t say anything important.

“What are you talking about now? Please tell me if you like.”

Alana listened to Luciano, and he stared at her long hair.

“Did you train your hands while I was away? Don’t give up. I said so.”

“Thank you for always helping me to change clothes, eat, and bathe. I’m sorry, but I don’t think I should burden you. I hope I can even do this little. Emilio, today is the new moon. Do you remember?”

New moon ──.

There was a constant ache in his chest.

“... I remember. Do you want to die on the new moon?”

“Yes. I want the day I die to be the new moon. I hope so.”

“I will grant your wish, but still, The day you die is not today.”

Alana turned down her golden eyelashes. The gesture was sadly visible.

What would you do if I told you I don’t intend to keep my vow? I have no intention of killing you anymore. What would you do if you knew? Would you be depressed? Sad? Indignant?

He could imagine the future without asking. As soon as he told her, Alana would exile her husband and force the anti-queen faction to kill her. She must be trying to commit suicide with the help of others.

You must know that you were looking into me until you hired your agent. I’m cruel, filthy, and have no human heart. Do you know that I was the one who killed your father and half-brother? At first, I was going to kill you like them too. I came here to kill. But it’s your fault. Why not be arrogant? Why don’t you look at me like a bug? Why don’t you avoid me? Why do you allow yourself to be embraced? Why change my mind. Why ... do you make me just a man.

Alana was watching. Her green eyes, which were untainted, captured Luciano’s earnestly.

Those eyes. Why do you always stare at me with such eyes? It’s because you look at me like that. I can’t help holding you. I want to keep you alive. I won’t kill you anymore. I don’t want to kill you. I don’t want you to die. I want you to be my wife.

Luciano reached out for her, and Alana shook her shoulders. She had no facial expressions, and he didn’t know what she was thinking, but he looked on, he saw her green eyes beginning to blur.

“What’s wrong with Alana?”

“... When I hear your foreign language, I want to cry for some reason. Even if I cry, please forgive me.”

“You said my words were beautiful. I’ll speak as much as you want. Come here.”

Alana seemed hesitant when he spread his arms, gesturing for her to come. But when he spoke again, “Alana, come on,” she leaned closer and fell into Luciano’s chest.

“You can cry. You seem clumsier than I am. You don’t know how to express your emotions. When you want to cry, you can cry. Don’t worry if my clothes get wet or dirty.”

Alana looked at him with tears, but when he stroked her head, he could feel droplets running down her nape.

If Armenia did not deceive Serrat and the letter was correct, I would have met you under different circumstances. I’ve been thinking that more often in the last few days.

Her eyes fluttered, and he wiped her tears running down her cheeks with his fingers.
