[TIDK] 104 – Intruder

Scarlett, who was working without realising the passage of time, raised her head at the sound of Andrei's knocking.

Andrei was smiling for some reason, and Scarlett glared at him suspiciously.

“Why do you look like that?”

Andrei was usually so fierce that his smiling face was fishy. He said what he had to say, that was his way.

”They are here.”

“Who?”

Andrei grinned.

“Four craftsmen Abel Crimson fired.”

“Wait, what?”

Scarlett stood up right after being seated for so long causing her to feel dizzy and stagger. Andrei hurriedly grabbed her arm.

“I'm not running away.”

“Yes.”

Scarlett smiled and headed to the stairs. When she reached the bottom, indeed, there were old craftsmen standing.

The craftsmen, who were looking stiff, soon saw Scarlett and their expressions slowly began to relax. One of them, Turner, said.

“Oh, my God, I can't believe that little girl grew up like this...”

“It looks like the faces of the two bosses are mixed together. And that’s the best way!”

Everyone nodded in agreement with Joanna's words.

Scarlett smiled in embarrassment and opened her mouth.

“Did you see the advertisement?”

“Yes! All four of us live outside the capital, so the capital newspapers don't come... Someone who knows us brought them to us. There were newspapers in all our mailboxes.”

Only then did Scarlett understand why they hadn't shown up for over fifteen days and nodded.

“I see. I never thought all four of you would be outside the capital. That's amazing. Who could it be?”

While she was marvelling, the four former co-workers, who gathered together after a long time, were already gleefully chattering away like children.

“That’s right, I'm very grateful for whoever they are.”

“Are you familiar with the previous president and his wife?”

“More than that, the boss, Mr Abel did that, but our little girl is trying to solve it!”

“I don’t know if we can help you. I'm nervous about showing my skills after such a long time”

“This man, I'll show you my skills. You can just watch.”

Scarlett looked on happily as the four strong craftsmen chatted loudly. She looked at Andrei as if to share her joy. He was lost in thought about something bothering him.

The returned watchmakers generously shared their knowledge with Scarlett. And in case Abel Crimson sued Scarlett, they promised to be witnesses to prove Scarlett's argument.

In addition, Tom and Anna, who met Scarlett last time at Factor One, and Stan also joined. Scarlett could not be anymore, reassured.

Even after the watchmakers returned, the watch shop remained the same. Andrei managed the store, and Scarlett made the watches.

Even in the midst of her busy schedule, Scarlett could not neglect studying the blueprints and mechanics of planes. However, it was nearly impossible for her to research the new device because she did not attend school properly. There were also limitations to self-study.

Every time she encountered such difficulties, Scarlett's desire to go to school grew.

Scarlett, who had stayed up almost every night for the past few days due to various disturbances, finished her work early after a long time. It was almost the first time she had finished her work before Andrei left the shop.

Andrei's face, which seemed to have no worries in the world, these days showed unprecedented anxiety. So she stood up from the chair with the intention of greeting Andrei when he left work and asking what was going on. But at the same time, there was a bang from the first floor.

“Andrei! What’s going on...”

Surprised, Scarlett frantically ran down the stairs to the first floor and stopped in her tracks.

On the first floor, a masked man and Andrei were confronting each other. Andrei said as he heard her footsteps behind him.

“Boss, please go back up.”

Scarlett was frightened and clamped her hands over her mouth. He was stuck as his feet were in a lock hold, so Andrei spoke with his teeth clenched.

“It's all right.”

She wanted to argue what the hell was ‘all right’. How could he say he was all right in this situation?

In the meantime, a masked man immediately rushed in. Andrei blocked the man's fist and kicked him in the leg without restraint. However, the opponent was also formidable.

Scarlett watched the two people fighting so as to ensure nothing became broken. She even had thoughts such as whether all men in the world were that good at fighting, which was not appropriate given the situation.

Andrei's power prevailed, and the winner was decided the moment it led to a struggle.

Andrei strangled the fallen man on the floor. When pressed with light force, the masked character fainted and stopped struggling. Andrei took off the man's mask and his face hardened. He was a young man of a noble family.

“Damn it.”

Andrei quickly realised that the opponent’s target of interest was not Scarlett, but himself. As expected, Viktor entered through the shop’s door, in uniform.
