[TCFO] Arc 3 – Chapter 135

The Vicious Princess Wants to Reverse Fate (29)

He was a healer, skilled in saving lives and concocting medicines. His expertise involved poisons, which inevitably meant contact with poisonous plants, trees, snakes, scorpions, and insects. Therefore, he had a clear understanding of the snake's body structure.

Though lacking internal energy, which momentarily hindered him from delivering a fatal blow, rendering it motionless was still within his capability.

After a standoff between man and snake for half a minute, the black python suddenly launched an attack on Zhou Min. When the snake, several dozen metres long, lunged at her, its enormous size and fierceness were astonishing!

Even though Shangguan Qi had lost his internal energy, he still remembered his martial arts techniques. With agile footwork, he swiftly moved to Zhou Min's side, quickly pulling her to his original position. He acted instantly, and the agile python came at Shangguan Qi, its tail whipping up splashes.

In the blink of an eye, the snake's head was already in front of Shangguan Qi. He narrowed his eyes, and his hands shot out, countless silver needles flying towards its snake eyes and body. A roar echoed, and the snake's tail fiercely pounded the rocks, causing them to crack and creating giant waves. The snake's body fell to the stones where Shangguan Qi stood.

The hundred-foot worm dies but doesn't stiffen, let alone a black python. Moreover, Shangguan Qi felt that this giant python was quite peculiar. Although it wriggled and coiled due to the severe pain in its eyes, shocking Zhou Min, almost in the blink of an eye, this black python, riddled with silver needles, began to coil upward in concentric circles. Instantly, it tightly wound around Shangguan Qi's entire torso below the chest.

When Shangguan Qi swapped positions with Zhou Min, the corner of his eye caught her following the force he exerted, instantly flying away and disappearing into the night sky. A resolute red figure vanished, leaving an indescribable sense of panic.

For some reason, as he watched the figure decisively disappear in the night sky, his gaze involuntarily turned cold. However, he couldn't dwell on it due to the current situation.

Because of the blocked blood circulation, the skin on Shangguan Qi's hands instantly turned blue, veins popped up, and the skin became congested. Trying to break free was already too late.

Due to his vigilance, the black python didn't control and bind his hands. This allowed him to counterattack when he found a chance for a fatal blow.

However, Shangguan Qi still dared not underestimate the situation. Although he had sealed its meridians, the black python remained incredibly strong, and its snakeskin was slippery. The snake was in agony from Shangguan Qi's silver needles, but its strength persisted.

The giant python raised its massive head, looming over the person entwined within its coils. Opening its blood-filled mouth, it swiftly lunged toward Shangguan Qi's head with a swift "Whoosh."

Before the snake's head reached him, a foul stench of earthiness emanated from Shangguan Qi's nostrils. As soon as he smelled this odour, Shangguan Qi's attractive eyebrows furrowed, and he experienced waves of dizziness.

"Poisonous!"

A dreadful thought flashed through Shangguan Qi's mind, sensitive to toxins due to his expertise in poisons.

Reflexively, he instinctively turned his head to the left.

"Hiss..." The snake's body tightened even more, causing increasing discomfort for Shangguan Qi. The pungent odour emanating from the snake's body and sticky mucus triggered unsettling thoughts in Shangguan Qi's mind.

With a narrowed gaze, Shangguan Qi reached for the jade hairpin on his crown. As the giant python approached again, he ruthlessly thrust the hairpin into its seven-inch vital point, displaying a decisive and skilled technique without hesitation, directly penetrating the snake's seven-inch essential point.

"Sss..." The black python emitted an angry hiss, spitting out its venom and attacking Shangguan Qi's face again, the snake's body tightening even more.

"Don't!" Zhou Min was scared to the point of almost fainting, shouting, "Shangguan Qi—"

Although Zhou Min had already left, she suddenly descended from the air. At this moment, she held a sword in her hand. The entire person exuded panic and fear, and the sword was the one that had dropped to the ground when she hugged him in her frightened state.

Seemingly forgetting due to her unsettled state, this was typical of her character.

They say the sword is the soul of every warrior. Where there is a sword, there is a person, and where the sword perishes, so does the person. However, she always seemed to be the opposite, just as she was five years ago, and nothing had changed now.

She loved dancing with a sword, especially a dual-bladed one. She was graceful as a startled swan and agile as a wandering dragon. Her jade-like brilliance and exquisite swordsmanship were masterful! Even though she no longer wielded dual swords, holding the blade with a radiant glow, she had an awe-inspiring presence.

She resembled a flame in the night in red attire with fluttering black hair. Cold light flickered, and the myriad of sword shadows danced. Shangguan Qi watched the red figure approaching, the wind tousling her ink-like hair- much like her!

Where the sword passed, eyes cold, the sharp tip lifted the partially embedded jade hairpin, which she caught in her right-hand sleeve with a sweep. The sword plunged into the spot where the jade hairpin had pierced, and with her left hand, she held the jade hairpin entwined in her right sleeve.

The sword entered the snake's body, piercing straight through the hilt!

The black python roared, its tail loosened, and Zhou Min swiftly lifted Shangguan Qi from the snake's body. While leaping, Zhou Min seized the opportunity to use her internal force to send Shangguan Qi to a nearby rock.

As Zhou Min was dragged down, she had no choice but to grab hold of the python's body. With a bang, she fell onto a 50-square-metre platform at the corner of the waterfall. At this moment, Zhou Min had to entangle herself with the almost instinctive movements of the snake. She fiercely inserted Shangguan Qi's jade hairpin between its eyes, stopping its head movements. She rolled violently on the ground.

Until the python's body weakened, Zhou Min withdrew the jade hairpin. A splash of fresh blood splattered across her face. During the snake's convulsions, she seized the opportunity to fly out, using her internal force to send Shangguan Qi to a nearby rock.

As Zhou Min, exhausted, sat on the ground, she looked at Shangguan Qi not far away.
