[TIDK] 162 — New to Dating

162 – New to Dating

Although Scarlett invited Viktor to the watch store when it snowed, she was lost as to what to do when he actually arrived. It was then that Viktor raised the corners of his lips and tapped on the doorknob.

After a small delay, Scarlett opened the door after coming to her senses.

Viktor folded his umbrella and stepped inside the store, while Scarlett quickly fiddled with her hair and went upstairs first.

“I can’t do this, I don’t believe I can.” After entering the studio, she said nervously.

“It’s just a date.” Viktor said as he took off his gloves.

“I’ve never been on a date before.”

“What kind of men did you go out with?”

“I was joking.” Viktor said after he saw Scarlett’s twisted expression in response to his words.

“It wasn’t funny.”

“Oh my.” Viktor spoke softly.

Scarlett was ashamed and stuck close to the table while Viktor approached the workbench with his gloves in hand.

Viktor stood close to her, and reached out to the shelf. He picked up a dusty wine bottle that was abandoned for a long time. Scarlett found it strange when she saw his hands filled with dust.

“Did you buy this wine?” Turning his head with the bottle in hand, Viktor asked.

“…Pardon?”

“Would you like to have a drink with me?”

Scarlett nodded with much hesitation.

“I’m proud of you.” Viktor let out a low laugh.

“It’s cheap wine, it’s too sweet for your taste.” Scarlett glared at Viktor with a frown on her face.

“I’ll happily drink it.”

“…It brings bad luck.”

Viktor laughed at Scarlett’s reply.

The dust on Viktor’s hand bothered her, so she reached for the wine bottle to clean it off.

“There’s dust.” Viktor grabbed her wrist and blocked her hand.

“That’s why I’m going to wipe it.”

“I’ll do it instead.” Viktor said.

He took out a handkerchief and began to wipe, starting from the bottle’s neck. Scarlett opened the cupboard in search of wine glasses. However, only two coffee cups were present. She held out the coffee cup, and Viktor, who was occupied with removing the cork, clenched his teeth and turned away.

Scarlett flushed from embarrassment, but ended up bursting into laughter.

“Since I don’t drink, I don’t have wine glasses here.”

“I see.”

“Just drink, it’ll taste the same wherever you may pour the wine into.” Scarlett said.

She took the wine bottle and poured some into the coffee cup and served it. Regardless of his whims, Viktor took the cup with a smile on his face. Scarlett grimaced at the sight of the drink.

“If you’re not ready to drink it, then don’t” Viktor said.

Scarlett stole Viktor’s cup and drank the wine in one large gulp.

Although she didn’t drink often, the wine’s taste was sweet, so Scarlett thought she could handle it. When Scarlett’s lips parted with the glass, Viktor grabbed the cup with one hand and pulled her waist with the other.

Viktor licked all of the wine that lingered on Scarlett’s mouth in a provocative kiss. Scarlett winced at the sudden kiss, and struggled to pull away. However, Viktor grabbed her and pulled her into his arms.

“Ah…” A small groan left Scarlett’s mouth.

Viktor wrapped his hand around her thigh and lifted her, placing her on the table.

“I won’t do it.” Scarlett said, pressing against chest.

“Alright.”

“Will you stop kissing?” Slightly raising her chin, Scarlett asked.

“What do you mean?” Viktor asked, lowering his head.

“You like sleeping with me more than kissing.”

“That’s true.”

“If I block you from doing the latter, will you quit doing the former?”

“I don’t care as long as I can do either one.”

“Why?” Viktor asked when Scarlett’s gaze turned uncanny.

“That was the most juvenile statement I’ve ever heard from you.”

“Was it horrible?”

“No.”

In fact, it was the opposite. Scarlett loved everything Viktor said, and hoped for just one steamy moment with him.

She licked her wine-covered mouth, and Viktor watched her continuously move her tongue through her open mouth. A moment later, Viktor’s fingers slid through Scarlett’s hair. She watched as he took a strand of hair and kissed it. Viktor smoothly let go of her hair, perhaps because the idea of dating intrigued him.
“I don’t sleep on a first date.” Viktor joked in hopes of putting Scarlett at ease, who was obviously uncomfortable with his behaviour.

Scarlett laughed out loud, and Viktor followed suit. For some unusual reason, his words were hilarious.

As they sat face to face, Viktor continued to drink more wine, and Scarlett sipped her tea to warm herself up.
