Arc 3 – Chapter 188, Vicious Princess Wants to Reverse Fate (83)

Although the carriage was already comfortable, Zhou Min still felt somewhat dizzy from the jostling, especially since she had fainted earlier and had not felt the 'pleasure' of the bumpy ride. Now awake and suffering from excessive blood loss, she felt almost drunk.

She felt nauseous, her face turning even paler, her stomach churning.

The man's hand swiftly reached out, and Zhou Min tensed up. Even though she had lost all her martial arts skills, the vigilant reflexes honed since childhood as a warrior made her respond instinctively to any sudden changes.

However, perhaps because she was too dizzy, the man's movements were so straightforward, devoid of any fancy tricks, that she could track his motion.

Yet, she seemed unable to defend herself. A simple, direct motion, and she could not find a way to smoothly parry it.

She could only let the man's hand reach out to her, his long and handsome index finger brushing the spot between her eyebrows.

A cool sensation rushed from her nose to the crown of her head, and the nauseating dizziness vanished instantly!

Zhou Min's eyes brightened, surmising that the substance he applied to her brow was the same as the medicine on her wound.

Feeling a bit contemptuous of herself for being so guarded with a baseless suspicion, her eyes slightly drooped, 'Thank you.'

The man still said nothing, instead turning his head to continue resting with his eyes closed.

Zhou Min watched the man for a while, her suspicions growing more varied. Yet, without direct evidence to confirm her guesses, the carriage continued towards the town for a while longer before he suddenly spoke up, his deep and magnetic voice pleasantly striking her eardrum, 'We'll arrive at the Fúlái Inn after turning the corner.'

As he spoke, he suddenly opened his eyes, catching Zhou Min's gaze which had been observing him, 'You've been watching me the whole way, are you satisfied with what you've seen?'

Used to the man's silence, his teasing words still shocked Zhou Min.

She coughed abruptly, her face flushing red, but he didn't wait for her response, his gaze slightly shifting forward, 'We're here.'

He snapped his fingers lightly, and the carriage came to a steady stop.

The Fúlái Inn was brightly lit in the evening, the lights in the lobby flickering softly ahead.

'Thank you for today,' Zhou Min said, turning to look at the man's suddenly aggressive gaze, feeling like prey under a hunter's watch, she quickly turned to get out of the carriage.

But the man behind her moved faster, and just as Zhou Min was about to step out, he suddenly pulled her into his embrace, his voice hoarse, 'I am not one to make a losing deal, do you think a simple thank you will suffice?' As he spoke, he loosened Zhou Min's clothes, his hand slipping inside her garment, his face buried in the side of her neck, taking a deep breath.

'So, it really is your scent, I didn't expect you to have such a unique fragrance naturally, what a delightful surprise! I think I should inspect it first, to see...'

Zhou Min was horrified, her left hand striking out fiercely, but the man on top of her easily deflected it, then lifted her hands high above her head, crossing them, pressing down with one hand, 'I didn't want to have you beneath me so soon, but your scent keeps teasing me — I can't help myself, it's not my fault, it's your father who raised you too well...'

'You bastard! Knowing who I am, how dare you treat me like this, do you have a death wish?'

Zhou Min's words made Yan Tianjue suddenly chuckle, 'Even if I die, I won't be the first, has Shangguan Qi ever touched you like this?'

Zhou Min's struggle paused upon hearing the name Shangguan Qi, her eyes widening in shock at the man above her. Without waiting for her response, he grasped Zhou Min's ample breast and sighed, 'But I don't mind, after all, he's my brother. He's had a taste, and as the elder brother, I can't fall too far behind, can I?'

'You are Tianjue!' It was not a question, but a statement.

'So you know my name,' Yan Tianjue suddenly laughed, his rough tongue licking Zhou Min's sensitive ear, 'I like hearing you call my name from your lips, but I'd like even more to hear some sweeter sounds come from them...'

'Yan Tianjue, you dare!' Zhou Min glared at him, anger blazing in her eyes like the brilliant sun of June.

Upon realising she was controlled by Yan Tianjue, Zhou Min immediately searched for the 'Bianbian Xinghuo' in the system marketplace she had left behind at 484. It was a prop that could imitate various fireworks, but at this moment, Zhou Min used it to signal for help from the only person who could save her, her third royal brother.

Using fireworks as a signal had been a childhood play-acting code of distress she and her third brother had improvised when playing generals and soldiers in the palace. She had never used it in her previous life, but now, Zhou Min silently prayed that her third brother would remember and come to her rescue.

In the night sky, three fireworks ascended at irregular intervals, unbeknownst to Yan Tianjue inside the carriage, his large hand gripping Zhou Min's wrists, pressing her against the soft cushion of the carriage, his narrowed eyes shooting sparks.

It has to be said, the rumours of the Princess of Zhou's beauty being unforgettable, haunting one's dreams, were not exaggerated in the slightest. Her beauty was startling, especially those eyes, glittering like the stars.

They could make a person sink helplessly, unknowingly trapped. Shangguan Qi's interest in this woman was something he had known since their time in the jungle, yet he didn't know why. But now, perhaps he understood a little — she was like fire, irresistibly drawing people close, even if it meant being consumed entirely.
